A Day of Empowerment: May 16, 2010
Patients and families facing health-care challenges are invited to a free community resource fair in Portland on May 16. The fair, organized by Jewish Family and Child Service of Portland and sponsored by Health Advocacy Solutions as well as other community organizations,, is open to all individuals with acute or chornic illnesses or disability, their friends, and family. At the fair, HAS president Jason McNichol will be leading a workshop on successfully navigating the healthcare system.
At the event, JFCS will also be leading a bone marrow donor identification drive to help find a match for a seriously ill resident.
