Research Project Launched
HAS is sponsoring a research project to evaluate current evidence for disparities in quality of care outcomes based on differences in social, cultural, and educational capital. The study will be the first social scientific effort to summarize an array of evidence that illustrates how health-care outcomes depend not just on access to care and the quality of care available, but also on how activated, empowered, and well-connected patients and families are when they interact with our health-care system.
