Many Residency Programs Accept Drug Industry Money
Even though their directors believe the practice is not desirable, more than half of internal medicine residency programs accept pharmaceutical industry money to support their training. Prior research suggests that interactions with the pharmaceutical industry are known to affect the attitudes and behaviors of medical residents.
