What Patients Need From Health-Care Overhaul

In this Wall Street Journal article describing the needs for health-care reform from a patient perspective, a number points are mentioned as necessary if health-care overhaul is to be meaningful to patients. According to the story, "[I]n addition to closing coverage gaps, it is important to eliminate pre-existing-condition exclusions and waiting periods; do away with annual and lifetime benefit caps; eliminate service-specific or disease-specific caps within health plans; and impose a standard cap on patients' annual out of pocket spending."
