Do you work with clients all over the country?
Yes. Although we are based in Portland and Seattle, we are able to provide most of our services through the telephone, e-mail, and the Internet. Our research databases, expert contacts, and other resources enable us to meet many of our clients' needs effectively throughout the United States. We can also help locate local referrals. For a sampling of cases we have undertaken for clients nationwide, please see our Examples page.
How much do your services cost?
We offer an initial 15 minute consultation free-of-charge. Thereafter, our hourly fees range from $75 to $125, depending on the work involved. We can provide you with realistic estimates of time and cost for specific services before we begin. Because we draw on a wide array of research resources and networks of experts, we are able to provide substantial assistance very quickly . For more extended support, we may suggest a flat fee or retainer schedule to help keep your costs lower. We accept cash, checks, MasterCard, and Visa.
Are any of your services covered by health insurance?
As independent consultants, we work outside of the health-care system. To avoid any potential conflicts of interest, we are not affiliated with insurance companies. However, we are happy to help investigate insurance coverage as part of our research on referrals and second opinions for clients. Fees for our services may be eligible for reimbursement by some Health Savings Accounts (please check with your plan).
How does Health Advocacy Solutions ensure that its support is comprehensive and impartial?
When gathering information on behalf of our clients, we use a variety of established research techniques to ascertain the likely validity, reliability, and completeness of what we find. Furthermore, our exclusive and only allegiance is to our clients: we do not accept fees for referrals or hold a financial stake in any of the entities with whom we work. We also make every effort to share with clients any uncertainties or biases that could potentially arise in the course of our work. More information...
